About Sparkling Water
Sparkling Water is an electronic music project helmed by Adam Waito, a multidisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto/Toronto. As Sparkling Water, Waito creates thoughtful downtempo tracks and environmental meditations using vintage and modern synthesizers.
Conceived originally as a private form of self-therapy, Sparkling Water evolved into a public-facing fundraising tool to purchase eSims for doctors and journalists in Gaza. From this genesis, the project continues to playfully explore the enmeshment of exterior sound/interior wellbeing, and social communion/inner harmony, and the potential for the traditionally neoliberal/consumerist genre of “New Age Music” to be interrogated and redeployed in the service of community and social change.
Since the project’s inception in 2024, Sparkling Water has released three EPs independently and one full-length album on cassette, Routine Gives Me the Space to Dream, on San Francisco’s Dream Chimney label.
Waito is currently working on multiple Sparkling Water happenings, releases, and collaborations, including Lake Trout EP which will be launched with an in-store performance at Kankyo Records in Tokyo, Japan, on March 18, 2026.
